  • How does your organization help elderly people financially?
Our monthly ration kit program is one of the most important ways we provide practical support to elderly people in need. Each kit is carefully crafted with love and customized to meet the specific needs of the individual. We believe that every elderly person deserves to live with dignity and without worrying about basic necessities like food and sanitation. While our ration kit program is one of the most important ways we help the elderly community, we understand that some people may require additional support beyond what we provide. That's why we also offer a range of services, including medical help, financial planning, and other assistance, to help meet the unique needs of each person we serve.
  • How often do you provide assistance to elderly people?
We provide assistance to elderly people on a monthly basis. We deliver customized ration kits to their doorstep every month to ensure they have access to basic nutrition and sanitation. Additionally, our volunteers visit them bi-weekly to provide companionship and social connection, and they prepare an Oorja Dadi-Nani Wellness report that includes their physical and mental health status, nutrition intake, and any other concerns they may have. This helps us provide customized support to each individual and address their specific needs. Our goal is to provide consistent and holistic support to elderly people so that they can live with dignity and improve their overall wellbeing.
  • What kind of impact has your organization made in the lives of elderly people?
Our organization has made a significant impact in the lives of elderly people. We provide monthly ration kits to ensure that they have access to proper nutrition and sanitation. This has improved their physical health and reduced the risk of illnesses caused by malnutrition. In addition, our volunteers visit elderly people regularly to provide companionship and social connection, which has improved their mental health and reduced feelings of loneliness and isolation. We also identify elderly people who need medical attention and help them access healthcare facilities. Financial assistance is another important aspect of our work. We provide financial support to elderly people who are unable to meet their basic needs, such as paying rent, electricity bills, or medical bills. This has reduced their financial burden and helped them live with dignity. Overall, our organization is committed to improving the quality of life for elderly people in our community, and we are proud of the impact we have made so far.
